Qualifications

  • Knowledge of 18th Edition Wiring regulations.
  • Full Clean Driving licence is required.

  • Perform works on mechanical systems including plumbing and air conditioning.
  • Manage reactive tasks from diagnosis to completion.
  • Act as first line response to reactive call-outs.

Job description
Mechanical Engineer

Location: Westminster, London

Hours: This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. 9am - 6pm

Salary: On offer is a salary banding of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Responsibilities
  • Perform works on mechanical systems, including plumbing, air conditioning, and pressure systems; assist the team with building fabric and electrical systems.
  • Effectively perform maintenance of a range of assets through a PPM schedule, ensuring compliance in a flexible and efficient manner.
  • Manage any reactive tasks that are raised, from diagnosis through to sourcing parts and on to completion.
  • Act as the first line response to any reactive call‑out, working safely and in accordance with the Approved Codes of Practice for the relevant service.
  • Work with various parties, including specialist subcontractors, to deliver work to the highest standards for clients.
  • Demonstrate awareness of best working practices and ensure they are followed at all times.

Who are we looking for?
  • City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ in plumbing (preferable)
  • City & Guilds or equivalent NVG in mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge and previous experience of building services
