Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join the Camberley Pumping Stations team. The role involves maintaining and repairing pumping station machinery and electrical equipment, with duties including fault diagnosis, testing, installation, and safe modification of plant.

A driving license and relevant electrical/mechanical qualifications are required. Base location is Camberley with a 38-hour week and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Electrical apprenticeship completed or equivalent.
• Valid driving license is essential.
• Solid mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Investigate plant failures and carry out repairs to minimise downtime.
• Provide technical advice and training support for trainees as required.
• Participate in standby rota and on-call duties.

Education

ONC/HNC in engineering, NVQ or C&G level 3 in Electrical engineering with upskilled Mechanical NVQ2/3
