Job summary

Interaction - York is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to inspect vehicles, complete PDA reports and support daily site inspections across BCA sites. The role requires an NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification and a full UK driving licence.

You will work 8:15am-5:45pm with a rotating pattern, focusing on diagnostics and repair knowledge, including hybrid/electric awareness and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance required or equivalent.
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates and EV/Hybrid awareness is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures and reporting findings via PDA.
• Complete used vehicle condition reports.
• Collaborate with team to maintain daily site inspections.
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery.
• Travel to various BCA sites within your region; longer travel when needed.

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

£13.99 per hour (£30,917.90k annually) plus bonus (OTE around £35k)

Hours - 8.15am-5.45pm Wednesday to Sunday OR Saturday to Wednesday

As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template
• Complete used vehicle condition reports
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region will be regular, however, travel to further distances will be expected if and when needed

What we're looking for

To excel in this role, you must have:

• An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous)
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
• A full UK driving licence
