Job summary

Interaction - York is seeking a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our team in the UK. You will inspect vehicles, complete condition reports, and work with colleagues to ensure high-quality service at BCA sites across the region.

A full UK driving licence and an NVQ Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance are required. The role features a daytime schedule with regular regional travel and the opportunity to develop diagnostics knowledge and work on electric/hybrid vehicles.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience with vehicle diagnostics and repairs.
• Understanding of electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team to maintain daily site inspections.

Job description

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

£13.99 per hour (£30,917.90k annually) plus bonus (OTE around £35k)

Hours - 8.15am-5.45pm Wednesday to Sunday OR Saturday to Wednesday

As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template
• Complete used vehicle condition reports
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region will be regular, however, travel to further distances will be expected if and when needed

What we're looking for

To excel in this role, you must have:

• An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous)
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
• A full UK driving licence
