Overview

Mechanic / Fitter - Mechanical Bias

This is a field-based role. You must be willing to travel and work away Monday to Thursday.

Responsibilities
  • Cover the UK as a Field Service Engineer and be fully trained on our equipment.
  • Join an established Field Service Team and gain training on new machinery.
  • Work as a National Service Engineer, which realistically means working away from home 4 nights a week (no weekend work).
  • Operate on defence sites where security clearance is required.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Must be a British National eligible for security clearance.
  • Must be fit, able to lift weights and work in confined spaces.
  • Good mechanical skills (mechanically biased gear, blade, chains, bearings, shafts).
  • Formal apprenticeship completed (ideally NVQ or City and Guilds or HNC/HND).
  • Reading/understanding electrical diagrams would be an advantage.
  • UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, be presentable and have good communication skills.
