Job Description: Mechanic / Engineer / Car Builder at Tomcat Motorsport Ltd

Tomcat Motorsport Ltd is seeking a versatile professional to join our team as a mechanic, engineer, and car builder. This role is distinct from a typical garage mechanic position, involving the construction and partial assembly of Tomcat's road and competition cars. Responsibilities include repairing (including racing damage), servicing, and building various off-road and track competition vehicles, as well as fabrication work.

The ideal candidate should be a capable mechanic with resourcefulness and problem-solving skills, experienced in electrical systems repair and building. Light fabrication, fibre glass repair, welding, and machining skills are preferred but not mandatory.

The successful applicant will work under the supervision of the project engineer alongside other team members and self-employed contractors.

This position can be offered part-time, suitable for a qualified mechanic seeking a career change or a skilled car builder looking for part-time work, possibly during retirement. The role requires road and off-road testing, so a clean UK driving license is essential.
