Job Title: Mechanic / Engineer / Car Builder

Tomcat Motorsport Ltd is seeking a versatile mechanic, engineer, or car builder. This role is distinct from a typical garage mechanic position, involving the construction and partial assembly of Tomcat road and competition cars. Responsibilities include repairs (including racing damage), servicing, and building various off-road and track competition vehicles, along with fabrication tasks.

The ideal candidate should be a capable mechanic with resourcefulness and problem-solving skills, proficient in electrical system build and repair, with light fabrication, fiberglass repair, welding, and machining skills (the latter preferred but not essential).

The successful applicant will work under the guidance of the project engineer alongside other team members, both permanent and self-employed.

This role can be part-time, suitable for a qualified mechanic seeking a career change or a skilled car builder looking for part-time work in retirement. Road testing and off-road testing will be required, so a clean UK driving license is essential.
