Job Opportunity: Mechanic / Engineer / Car Builder at Tomcat Motorsport Ltd

Tomcat Motorsport Ltd is seeking a versatile mechanic, engineer, or car builder. This role is distinct from a typical garage mechanic position and involves building and partially building Tomcat road and competition cars. Responsibilities include repairs (including racing damage), servicing, and fabrication for off-road and track competition vehicles.

The ideal candidate should be a capable mechanic with resourcefulness and problem-solving skills. They should be competent in electrical system build and repair, possess light fabrication skills, and have experience with fiberglass repairs. Welding and machining skills are preferred but not essential.

The successful applicant will work under the guidance of the project engineer alongside other team members, both permanent and self-employed.

This position can be offered part-time and is suitable for a qualified mechanic seeking a career change or a skilled car builder looking for part-time work in retirement. The role requires road and off-road testing, so a clean UK driving license is essential.
