Job summary

Marshall Honda Reading is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join the high-performing aftersales team. You will service and maintain vehicles, perform diagnostics, and complete warranty and repair work with support from state-of-the-art facilities and manufacturer training.

We offer a competitive basic salary of £37,285 with an OTE of £45,000, full-time hours (45 per week) including weekends on a rota, and training and progression opportunities within Marshall Motor Group.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience as a Service Technician/Mechanic, ideally with warranty and servicing work.
• MOT licence is a plus; training provided if not yet qualified.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance on a range of vehicles, including diagnostic, warranty and repair work.
• Handle vehicle maintenance tasks from oil changes to cambelt changes, with digital write-ups and job cards.
• Conduct eVHCs in line with Marshall standards.

In this role:

• You’ll carry out servicing and maintenance on a range of vehicles, including diagnostic, warranty and repair work.
• You’ll handle a variety of vehicle maintenance tasks, from oil changes to cambelt changes, supported by digital write‑ups and job card completion.
• You’ll conduct electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) in line with Marshall standards.
• Someone with a recognised Level 3 qualification (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Someone with previous experience as a Service Technician/Mechanic, ideally with exposure to both warranty and servicing work.
• Someone with strong teamwork skills, who follows process and upholds high standards of safety and quality.
• Someone with a MOT Licence is a plus – full training can be provided if not yet qualified.
• Most importantly, someone eager to learn as this role will test you, but also help you develop and progress within your Mechanic careers with our manufacturer accreditation training.
