Job summary

E-ppl Ltd is seeking a Mechanic on a 6-month Outside IR35 contract in Donnington, Telford, Shropshire. You will perform mechanical inspections, servicing, repairs, and fleet upgrades to ensure readiness and regulatory compliance across Fleet platforms.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate (£17 base + £5 living allowance) with a total £22 per hour, paid weekly, and on-site tools provided. Overtime is available and Friday finishes are earlier.

Qualifications

• Valid NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Proven background as a Mechanic (Fleet, Commercial, or Ex-Forces/Military background preferred).
• Eligible for BPSS Security Clearance (sponsored by E-ppl).

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspections, routine servicing and repairs across designated fleet platforms.
• Complete rectification work ahead of Mandatory Equipment Inspections.
• Execute fleet upgrades, reworks and resolve defects identified during quality examinations.
• Maintain adherence to site Health & Safety guidelines.

About the Role

Join E-ppl Ltd as a Mechanic on a critical fleet maintenance project in Donnington, working alongside a skilled, supportive team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational readiness, safety, and regulatory compliance of Stored and Sustainment Fleet platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical inspections, routine servicing, and repairs across designated fleet platforms.

To be considered for this role, candidates must provide proof of the following:

• Qualifications: Valid proof of NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds (or equivalent) Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Experience: Proven background as a Mechanic (Fleet, Commercial, or Ex-Forces/Military vehicle background strongly preferred).
• Clearance: Must be eligible for BPSS Security Clearance (fully sponsored, managed, and paid for by E-ppl).
