Qualifications

• A relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
• A recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE with QTS, or an appropriate equivalent.
• The ability to teach Mathematics across the required key stages.
• Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills.
• A commitment to inclusive teaching, student achievement and continuous professional development.
• The legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons that meet curriculum requirements and support strong student progress.
• Explain mathematical principles clearly, using appropriate examples, modelling and practical activities.
• Differentiate lessons and resources to accommodate students with varying abilities and learning needs.
• Monitor attainment through questioning, marking, assessments and regular feedback.
• Identify gaps in mathematical understanding and provide targeted support to help students make progress.
• Promote positive behaviour, participation and independent problem-solving.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop teaching resources and share effective classroom practice.
• Contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum development and wider school activities.
