Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is assisting a Cambridge secondary school in recruiting a Maths Teacher for a January start. The role covers KS3 and KS4, with a focus on helping students build confidence in mathematics through engaging lessons.

The successful candidate will plan, assess and provide timely feedback, identify misconceptions and prepare students for GCSE exams. Applications from experienced teachers and ECTs with PGCE/QTS or equivalent are welcome.

Qualifications

• Teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4.
• Degree or strong academic background in Mathematics.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE with QTS or equivalent).
• Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and use effective modelling.
• Experience of assessment, differentiation and GCSE examination preparation.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Legal eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan lessons meeting diverse learner needs and provide timely feedback.
• Identify misconceptions and address gaps to support GCSE preparation.
• Collaborate within the Mathematics department to share resources and practice.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and drive improvements across year groups.
• Maintain high expectations and promote student progress and confidence in maths.
