UHDB is seeking a Tobacco Dependency Advisor to join the Tobacco Dependency Team at Royal Derby Hospital in Derby. The role focuses on delivering stop smoking support to pregnant women and families in maternity settings, using motivational interviewing, carbon monoxide monitoring and nicotine replacement therapy.

As a smoke-free champion, you will promote the Trust's policy, provide information to staff and patients, and help reduce pregnancy smoking through flexible, innovative approaches.

Formación

• Level 3 Healthcare qualification or equivalent.
• NCSCT Practitioner Training for smoking & pregnancy or willingness to undertake within 6 months.
• GCSE Maths and English at minimum grade 4/C.
• Immunisation administration training would be advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Provide support throughout pregnancy and post-natal period using MI, CO monitoring and NRT.
• Prioritise, implement and evaluate patient care with Trust policies and guidelines.
• Ensure all referrals to Tobacco Dependency Team are completed promptly.
• Collaborate with the Tobacco Dependency Midwife to ensure equipment and CO training is available.
