Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Advisor for Treating Tobacco Dependence in maternity services. You will support pregnant clients to quit smoking and collaborate with local stop smoking services and Public Health teams to reduce smoking in pregnancy rates.

The role welcomes those from clinical or non-clinical backgrounds and emphasises flexible working to balance home life with patient care. Prior experience in health promotion is valued.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent.
• NVQ level 3/4 or equivalent health related studies OR substantial successful experience delivering stop smoking interventions/support

Responsibilities

• Provide intermediate targeted smoking cessation support during pregnancy and post-natal period.
• Promote smoke-free messages and support, liaise with local stop smoking services and public health teams.
