A staffing agency is seeking an experienced Material Planner for a 9-month temporary position in Peterborough. This hybrid role requires 3-5 years of relevant experience in materials planning, production scheduling, or inventory control. Responsibilities include reviewing supply and demand, releasing purchase orders, and maintaining strong communication with teams. The position requires skills in Excel and other tools, ensuring an effective materials planning process. Applicants should demonstrate significant experience and problem-solving abilities.
We have a requirement for an experienced Material Planner to work on a 9 month temporary basis for our Engineering and Manufacturing client based in Peterborough.
You will use the materials planning system to manage supply and demand plans taking long-term corrective action on exception messages and other alerts based on root cause analysis; occasionally refers to adhoc tools such as Excel, Access, TOAD, OMS, etc. in performing problem solving, while leveraging the materials planning system as the primary tool in day-to-day operations.
It is essential that you have significant relevant work experience or specialised skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience in an equivalent field such as materials planning, production scheduling, manufacturing, or inventory control with 3-5 years of relevant work experience required.
You will be working 37.5 hours per week and this will be a hybrid role with some home working.
