Pole Star Global is seeking an Operations Officer to monitor real-time maritime activity, assess risks, and provide crisis support to captains and clients. The role is shift-based, includes weekends, and requires on-call coverage to ensure safety.

You will log incidents, deliver route risk reports, and communicate clearly under pressure. Proficiency with MS Office and monitoring systems, plus a proactive service mindset, will help you thrive in our fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Experience in shift-based operations, control room, or crisis response.
• Ability to assess risk and make decisions under pressure.
• Clear, calm communication with clients during time-critical situations.
• Strong logging and data management skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and on-call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vessels, routes and maritime activity in real time to identify and respond to security or safety risks.
• Act as primary contact for captains and clients, providing timely operational guidance and crisis support.
• Deliver Masters Briefs for vessels in high-risk areas.
• Issue real-time maritime security alerts and incident updates.
• Manage and respond to operational incidents and system alerts.
• Communicate effectively via phone and email during time-critical situations.
• Track vessel compliance and logging, escalate risks as needed.
• Prepare route risk reports and maintain operational records.
• Provide first-line troubleshooting for monitoring systems.
• Support onboarding and training of new Officers.
• Contribute to shift coverage and on-call rota.
