Job summary

Meta is seeking a GSOC Lead Operator to safeguard its business across the EMEA region. The role leads a team of Shift Operators, monitors incidents, and ensures effective communication of incident information to the Duty Security Manager.

You will coordinate with Duty Shift Manager, manage routine and emergency responses, review GSOR documents, and interface with regional teams. Experience in security operations and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Working towards level 3 management qualification or above.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Duty Shift Manager to ensure shift compliance and operational readiness.
• Complete daily shift setup, including handovers and updates to operational chat boards.
• Assume Duty Shift Manager responsibilities in their absence.
• Identify and communicate team development opportunities and training needs.
• Oversee response to routine and emergency calls, alarms, and support staff and guests.
• Supervise dispatch of security officers, ERT, facilities, police, fire, and EMS as required.
• Review GSOR documents to prepare the team for incident response.
• Communicate incident updates to stakeholders and escalate as needed.
• Review outward incident communications and elevate when appropriate.
• Inform management of missing or inoperative equipment.
• Oversee GSOC and team shift audits.
• Coordinate cross-department collaboration within security.
• Manage two-way communications and prompt responses.
• Collaborate on position-related projects from consulting to ownership.
