Job summary

Copello is working with an established engineering business in the maritime sector seeking an experienced Service Engineer to join the growing team. You will deliver engineering services across customer sites, on board vessels and in company facilities.

Responsibilities include installing, commissioning, maintaining and repairing complex maritime navigation and surveillance systems; fault finding, providing technical support by phone and email; and supporting overseas deployments and training.

Qualifications

• Hands-on service engineer with marine electronics experience.
• HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
• Experience with radar, navigation aids, steering control systems.
• Full driving licence, valid passport, ability to travel UK and overseas.
• Willingness to undertake offshore medical and survival training.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and repair maritime navigation and surveillance systems.
• Fault finding and diagnostics on marine electronics.
• Provide technical support to customers and service partners by phone and email.
• Manage repair and return of customer equipment within agreed timescales.
• Maintain service documentation including site reports and service records.
• Attend on-call engineer rota and support out-of-hours requirements.
