Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Senior Marine Electronics Engineer to support commercial and offshore vessels across the UK and abroad. You will install, commission, service and maintain marine electronic systems including radar, gyro compass, GPS, and VHF/MF/HF radios.

The role requires fault finding, surveys, and travel, with weekend/out-of-hours work as needed. A driving licence and valid UK work status are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in marine electronics or maritime engineering.
• Strong knowledge of navigation and communication systems.
• Ability to diagnose, repair, install and commission marine electronics.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service and maintain marine electronic, navigation and communication systems.
• Fault finding, repairs and upgrades on vessels and at customer sites.
• Work on radar, gyro compass, GPS, VHF/MF/HF systems and VDR.
• Carry out vessel and radio surveys and VDR testing.
• Produce service reports and technical documentation.
• Travel regularly locally with some UK/overseas travel.
