Field Service Engineer / Technician – UK We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer / Technician to join an established and highly regarded marine technology business specialising in advanced systems for the commercial, defence and luxury yacht sectors.
This is a hands‑on role suited to an experienced engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with customers and travelling to vessels both in the UK and internationally.
Working as part of a specialist service team, you will be responsible for travelling to vessels to install, commission, service and repair complex marine systems. When not travelling, you will provide technical support from the company's UK office.
The role will involve a combination of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and control system troubleshooting, requiring a practical and analytical approach to fault finding.
We are looking for someone with a strong practical engineering background and experience working with machinery or complex technical systems.
Ideally, you will have:
An engineering qualification in electrical engineering, electronics or a related discipline would be advantageous, but relevant hands‑on experience will also be considered.
The Person You will be professional, reliable and organised, with the confidence to represent the business directly with customers and vessel crews.
You should be comfortable working under pressure, able to think logically when diagnosing faults and committed to delivering a high-quality service.
