Job summary

Uber Boat by Thames Clippers is seeking a crew member to work closely with the on-board team to ensure passenger safety and a high-quality travel experience along the river. The role requires maritime experience and a background in customer service, with duties ranging from vessel operation support to passenger assistance and stock control.

The position operates on a 3 days on/3 days off cycle, averaging 42 hours per week, with early starts and long shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous, relevant working experience within a Maritime position/Customer Service environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Master/Mate in the safe operation and vessel management.
• Ensure passengers have the correct ticket type per policy.
• Assist in cleaning and maintenance of the vessel.
• Support on-board customer service and stock control to improve experience.
• Participate in safety checks and ensure compliance with SMS/ISM.
• Play automated announcements and report defects.
• Assist with berthing and securing vessel alongside piers.
• Record passenger numbers on relevant systems and manage loading space.
• Provide a friendly welcome, information and farewell to passengers.
• Assist in bunkering of fresh water and fuel.
