Job summary

Uber Boat by Thames Clippers in London is seeking an experienced Marine Engineer to maintain and service diesel-powered vessels. The role requires hands-on technical leadership on shift patterns, including nights, to keep the fleet operational.

You'll work with the engineering team to drive maintenance, reliability, and safety improvements across all vessels and supporting facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that your teams and you comply with all Health andSafety regulations and safe working practice as required bycurrent legislation and the Company’s Health and Safety Policyand practices.
  
• Supervise and coordinate all engineers on shift to ensurethe most effective and efficient service
  
• Drive technical development of the vessels and facilities toensure the most effective and efficient operation
  
• Oversee the day to day maintenance and servicing of allvessels and mechanical systems
  
• To ensure that all Thames Clippers vessels mechanicalsystems are fully safety checked in line with the companypolicy and statutory legislation DDDD
  
• Ensure all Thames Clippers craft are kept in service andfully operational wherever possible, by ensuring effective andefficient maintenance is carried out at all times byprioritising maintenance where possible during quieter periods.
  
• Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance on vessels asrequired including reasonable requests for additional supportwhen needed.
  
• Work with the senior engineering team to define, implementand review technical improvements to the fleet and engineeringfacilities, providing full technical analysis and reporting asrequired and defined by Head of Engineering and Vessel Appearance
  
• Undertake any other relevant duties or reasonable request asrequested by the HOD and any member of the senior management team
  

LOCATION AND TRAVEL

Located at Trinity Buoy Wharf working variable hours on a shiftpattern, including night shifts and

at our Dry Dock, in Tilbury, as required
