Job summary

Chemring Countermeasures is seeking a Learning & Development ambassador to deliver engaging training to production staff and support the creation of clear work instructions while maintaining training records to ensure a competent workforce.

The role includes assessing employee competence, contributing to inductions, promoting health and safety awareness, and coaching staff to foster an inclusive culture across the site.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Trainer Qualification (or prepared to work toward).
• Assessor Qualification (or prepared to work toward).
• IT Skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Learning Management Systems).
• Familiarity with explosives manufacture.
• Experience of auditing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver operational training to CCM and/or externally accredited standards.
• Ensure each production Operator is competent, through assessment, in their understanding and performance of the Work Instructions and Risk Assessments they are following.
• Assist with technical knowledge transfer of new processes and products through structured training instructions.
• Coach MCLs in delivering onboarding and buddy service to new starters following site induction and audit sign-off.
• Update and maintain individual and departmental training records using the Learning Management System, keeping them up to date and compliant with audit standards.
• Routinely deliver refresher training on critical process and compliance topics.
• Contribute to, and deliver toolbox talks, as required.
• Support with or complete mask face fit testing as required.
• Report any unsafe situations to management immediately.
