Overview of the role
The HSE Compliance Lead is responsible for leading, maintaining and assuring health, safety and environmental compliance across a high hazard explosive manufacturing COMAH-regulated manufacturing site. The role is critical in maintaining safe operations, supporting operational excellence, and ensuring the site meets all obligations under the Health and Safety at work act, COMAH Regulations, the Explosive Regulations, , DSEAR, Environmental Permitting Regulations, and wider UK HSE legislation and Chemring Group Framework and company standards.
The position plays a key role in developing a strong safety and compliance culture, reducing operational risk, and ensuring the site maintains readiness for regulatory inspections and audits.

This role will be worked over a 4.5 day week; Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:45 and Friday 08:00 – 12:30.
