Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Team Leader in Christchurch, Dorset. You will lead a multi-skilled team responsible for assembly, test, inspection, rework and repair, ensuring compliance with QMS and driving safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements.

The role requires at least 3 years in electronics/pneumatics engineering and assembly, with a working knowledge of MRP systems. Hybrid working and a range of employee benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in electronic/pneumatics engineering and electrical/mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience leading a diverse multi-skilled manufacturing team.
• Working knowledge of MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for Assembly, Test, Inspection, Rework and Repair to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost goals.
• Ensure adherence to documented processes including the QMS across the team.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, identifying root causes.
• Complete HR tasks for smooth operation of the team.
• Support a Safe, collaborative and productive environment using provided tools and processes.
• Assist the area Supervisor as required.

As a Manufacturing Team Leader for our Christchurch location, you will be responsible for understanding and adhering to documented business processes and requirements, including but not limited to the company Quality Management system (QMS) and ensure the same of each member of your team. Take a lead role in investigation and resolution of production related issues, as appropriate, including identification and resolution of Root Cause(s)

Your Challenge

• Lead a team responsible for the Assembly, Test, Inspection, Rework and Repair of product to support achievement of the business goals and objectives in the area's of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
• Understand and adhere to documented business processes and requirements, including but not limited to the company Quality Management system (QMS) and ensure the same of each member of your team
• Take a lead role in investigation and resolution of production related issues, as appropriate, including identification and resolution of Root Cause(s)
• Complete HR related tasks and administration as necessary for smooth operation of the team
• Support your team and the wider business in the creation of a Safe, Collaborative and Productive environment through active use of provided tools and processes
• Support the area Supervisor in the completion of their duties as and when required

What You Bring

• Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
• Minimum 3 years experience in electronic/pneumatics engineering and electrical/mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment and/or appropriate Qualification(s)
• Experience Leading a diverse multi-skilled manufacturing team
• A working knowledge of MRP systems
• Relevant experience in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment
