Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Christchurch, Dorset, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead the introduction of new products to production and support existing lines. You will design and implement manufacturing processes, build guides, jigs and fixtures, and layout cells with tooling, while applying lean methods to drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a solid engineering degree and 5+ years in a similar electro‑mechanical environment, plus hands-on capability, strong

Qualifications

  • HNC/engineering degree in manufacturing, mechanical or electronics.
  • 5+ years in a similar senior manufacturing role in high/medium-volume electromechanical environment.
  • Awareness of modern manufacturing philosophies and techniques, hands-on capability.

Responsibilities

  • Introduce new products to production with DFx considerations and build guides.
  • Develop manufacturing processes, jigs, fixtures; layout cells and tooling.
  • Support current production; investigate and solve manufacturing issues and quality outliers.
  • Improve existing methods; update build guides with engineering changes; support factory moves.
  • Apply lean tools (5S, continuous improvement) and ensure production readiness.
