Job summary

Curtiss-Wright's Defense Solutions division is seeking a Manufacturing Team Leader for our Christchurch, Dorset site. You will lead the Assembly, Test, Inspection, Rework and Repair activities to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost goals while upholding the QMS.

You will mentor a diverse, multi-skilled team, drive process improvements, manage HR tasks, and work with the area supervisor to maintain a safe, collaborative environment using our standard tools and processes.

Qualifications

• Computer literate with MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
• Minimum 3 years experience in electronic/pneumatics engineering and electrical/mechanical assembly.
• Experience Leading a diverse multi-skilled manufacturing team.
• Working knowledge of MRP systems.
• Relevant experience in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for the Assembly, Test, Inspection, Rework and Repair of product to support achievement of the business goals and objectives in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
• Understand and adhere to documented business processes and requirements, including but not limited to the company Quality Management system (QMS) and ensure the same of each member of your team.
• Take a lead role in investigation and resolution of production related issues, as appropriate, including identification and resolution of Root Cause(s).
• Complete HR related tasks and administration as necessary for smooth operation of the team.
• Support your team and the wider business in the creation of a Safe, Collaborative and Productive environment through active use of provided tools and processes.
• Support the area Supervisor in the completion of their duties as and when required.

Your Challenge

• Experience Leading a diverse multi-skilled manufacturing team
• A working knowledge of MRP systems
• Relevant experience in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment
