Scantec Recruitment are working in partnership with an FMCG Manufacturer based in Harlow, to assist them in recruiting a Manufacturing Shift Leader for their team. For this role, we're seeking a candidate with proven leadership experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll need to have the ability to engage and motivate a team of people whilst setting clear health & safety, quality and food safety standards. Food / FMCG is preferred but not essential as on-going, extensive training will be given.

Early & Late rotating shift pattern

Monday to Friday – 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm

Overtime is available

Summary of core responsibilities:

1. Be proactive towards health and safety and ensure staff/yourself work within the safe systems of work.
2. Lead & ensure H&S compliance, delivering on all H&S KPI’s (Near miss reporting, SML & BRC audit scores etc.)
3. Ensure all quality and pre-start checks have been completed before production starts.
4. Complete work orders, input OEE data and develop shift report for the shift handover.
5. Ensure hygiene/GMP standards throughout the production areas.
6. Ensure food safety and food quality standards are being met and complied with throughout the shift.
7. Be the point of contact for production operators for troubleshooting support and escalate issues.
8. Support the Production Manager to manage labour plan, holidays, sickness and agency requirements.
9. Ensure site readiness for internal and external audits.
10. Drive performance through short interval control and attend production reviews.
11. Support staff development through SOP development, training, team briefs and feedback.
