Production Shift Leader

Location: Enfield, North London

Salary: GBP45,000 + Bonus

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 6am-3pm / 3pm-11pm

Our client is a leading food manufacturer supplying major supermarkets, online food delivery companies, wholesale, and restaurant chains. They are seeking an experienced production shift leader/supervisor to join their team.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead a shift production team of around 10 people
• Ensure smooth operation of high-speed food production lines & packaging machinery
• Set up shifts, manage handovers, workload, and labor
• Monitor compliance with health, safety, food safety, and quality standards
• Input data into a computer system (similar to SAP) for materials, ingredients, and packaging requirements
• Support the production manager with labor costings, holidays, absences, and agency workforce
• Deliver and monitor KPIs and production output against plans
• Implement continuous improvements and lean manufacturing projects
• Conduct accident investigations, address near misses, and participate in BRC audits

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Strong man-management and effective communication skills
• Experience in food manufacturing or high-speed manufacturing sectors
• Excellent prioritization skills and ability to work independently
• Strong computer skills in data input, interpretation, and reporting
• Experience with continuous improvement projects
• Qualified in Health & Safety, Food Hygiene & Safety, IOSH
• Knowledge of ERP/SAP systems, allergens, and quality auditing is beneficial
• Results-driven with the ability to manage and develop KPIs
• Committed to maintaining high standards, processes, and procedures
