Production Shift Leader

Job Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Production Shift Leader to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this crucial role, you will oversee the production of high-quality supplements in various forms, including liquids, tablets, capsules, and powders. Your leadership and expertise will be instrumental in achieving our mission of delivering superior products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manufacturing Excellence: Oversee the efficient manufacturing of liquids, tablets, capsules, and various powder products, adhering to GMP standards.
2. Team Coordination: Lead and collaborate effectively with the team to meet production targets.
3. Quality Compliance: Ensure adherence to Batch Manufacturing Records and collaborate with quality teams for product integrity.
4. Machinery Operation: Manage machinery operation, including disassembly, reassembly, and calibration.
5. Materials Handling: Supervise the accurate weighing and blending of raw materials and the sizing of capsules/tablets.
6. Yield Reconciliation: Conduct yield reconciliations at the end of each batch.
7. Documentation: Oversee the completion of all necessary documentation, including line logs and quality records.
8. Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of production areas, tooling, and machinery.
9. Shift Management: Manage shift handovers for seamless production continuity.
10. Problem Solving: Address and escalate issues to management and lead problem-solving efforts.
11. Product Trials: Conduct product trials and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: Proven experience in a similar leadership role within the food supplement or pharmaceutical industry.
2. Skills: Strong leadership, communication abilities, and attention to detail.
3. Education: GCSE or equivalent qualification preferred.

2. Location: Candidates must be able to commute or relocate to Ashford.
