Production Shift Leader
Enfield, North London

£41,000 + Bonus

Monday-Friday 6am-3pm / 3pm-11pm

Our client is a leading food manufacturer, supplying to all the major supermarkets, online food delivery companies, wholesale and restaurant chains. They are looking for an experienced production shift leader / supervisor to join their team.

Role & Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a shift production team of around 10 people
  2. Responsible for smooth production of all high-speed food production lines & packaging machinery
  3. Setting up the shift, handovers, workload allocation, manage labor
  4. Monitoring compliance plans, health & safety, food safety & quality standards
  5. Input data in a computer system (similar to SAP), to work out materials, ingredients and packaging requirements needed to run production
  6. Support the production manager with labor costings, holidays, absence, agency workforce
  7. Delivering and monitoring all KPi's, production output management against plans
  8. Continuous improvements and lean manufacturing projects
  9. Accident investigations, near misses, BRC audits

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  1. Looking for a strong man-manager, effective communicator, able to train, delegate and help
  2. Food manufacturing experience would be beneficial
  3. Must have worked in some form of high-speed manufacturing sector
  4. Excellent prioritisation skills - able to think on own feet
  5. Strong computer skills - inputting and interpreting data, reporting
  6. Experience of conducting continuous improvement projects would be great
  7. Qualified in Health & Safety, Food Hygiene & Safety, IOSH
  8. Knowledge of ERP / SAP systems, allergens, quality auditing would be beneficial
  9. Results driven, to manage and develop KPi's
  10. Previously have maintained high standards, processes & procedures
