JOB DESCRIPTION

NOV is looking for a Manufacturing Operative based in Manchester.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct machine and hand polishing duties.
  • Deburring + part marking duties.
  • Relevant administration duties, e.g. route cards.
  • FLT duties where necessary.
  • General housekeeping duties.
  • Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
  • Perform any other work related tasks and duties in accordance with the business needs.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policy and procedures
  • Travel as and when required
  • Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.

  • Able to adeptly learn the context of a challenge and quickly integrate new skills (Learning on the fly)

QUALITY

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Familiar in working within a high productivity machine shop environment.
  • Experience with operating polishing machines and hand polishing.

Desirable:

  • FLT License

  • HSE awareness

Essential:

  • Carry out all duties in accordance with the Quality Assurance procedures and department/area work instructions.
