Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - External Supply Chain

Working Pattern: 37 hours/days

Location: Derby Raynesway

Our team comprises experts in engineering, manufacturing, project management, and procurement. As an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer - External Supply Chain, you will oversee manufacturing activities in the external supply chain to ensure processes meet safety, quality, cost, delivery, and lead time requirements, aligning with design intent and maintaining product integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. HSE: Ensure safety and environmental standards are upheld in the supply chain.
2. Product Safety: Confirm manufacturing processes meet design specifications and investigate safety issues.
3. Quality: Promote zero defects culture and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
4. Technical Authority: Apply manufacturing process controls and support technical reviews.
5. Pre-Contract Activities: Support defining technical specifications and lead technical reviews.
6. Planning & Programme Management: Manage schedules, resources, and risks to meet project deadlines.
7. Continuous Improvement: Develop and improve manufacturing processes and systems, capturing lessons learned.
8. Capability Deployment: Review technical packages and resolve production issues.

Candidate Profile:

• HNC or degree in a relevant discipline
• Experience in manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of process improvement tools and standards (IPC 610/620)
• Experience working with external suppliers and understanding of manufacturing processes and drawings
• Professional manner and ability to work with supply chain partners
