Job summary

Kraken Technology is seeking a Manufacturing Design Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team in the UK. You will bridge engineering and production, ensuring designs are robust for scalable manufacturing.

You’ll drive DFx activities, develop CAD models and BOMs, and create tooling to improve efficiency and quality on the shop floor while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Experience in Design/Manufacturing engineering or product development.
• Strong knowledge of DfM and DfA principles.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing design activities from prototype to production.
• Develop and maintain drawings, CAD models and BOMs.
• Design production tooling, jigs and fixtures to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Design, Production, Quality and Supply Chain.
