Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating manual machining tools, focusing on fillet rolling, thread rolling and manual grinding work. The role requires a high level of skill in manual machining operations, with a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in producing high-quality components. Responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings, setting up and maintaining machinery, ensuring product quality, and collaborating with teams to optimise manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
  • Perform skilled manual machining operations, ensuring components meet stringent quality standards across a range of alloy products.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to accurately determine machining requirements.
  • Set up machinery and equipment for precise operations, including adjustments to tooling and fixtures.
  • Maintain tools and machines to keep them in optimal working condition, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with all specifications and quality requirements.
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities, recommending enhancements to machining processes.
Candidate Profile

Experience: Proven experience in manual machining operations. Knowledge of fillet or thread rolling and grinding.
