Job summary

People First Team Japan/ピープルファーストチームジャパン in London seeks a Mandarin-speaking IT Operator to support banking IT operations. You will handle desk-side support, onboarding, access provisioning, and service-desk coordination to ensure smooth IT service delivery.

You will manage meetings, asset storage, and monitoring, with escalation to specialized teams as needed. Start ASAP with standard office hours, reporting to the Deputy Head of IT.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Mandarin (oral and written).
• Proven relevant experience in IT helpdesk and onboarding.
• Experience with server and desktop OS (Windows Server 2019, Windows 10/11).
• Core Microsoft infrastructure technologies (Exchange, AD, WSUS, RDS, DFS).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, vSphere, Hyper‑V).
• Backup technologies (Veeam, BackupExec, System Recovery, Endpoint Protection, LTO).
• Hardware firewalls/routers configuration.
• Switching (HP, Cisco, Juniper).
• System and network monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide user support including desktop setup, software installation, and access provisioning.
• Manage service desk mailbox and ticket allocation; escalate complex issues.
• Document solutions in knowledge base and provide basic user training.
• Onboard new employees; perform AD and business system user maintenance; password resets.
• Coordinate meetings support including web conferences and internal HO meetings.
• Manage IT assets, logging into asset systems and storage rooms, coordinate equipment delivery.
• Perform TAP backup rotation and coordinate transport with service providers.
• Oversee invoice payments and record matching in accounting.
• Maintain printers and handle toner and paper issues.
• Monitor IT events and incidents across the IT environment including HO and SOC systems.
• Conduct year-end stocktaking of IT assets.
