Job description

A newly created opportunity is available for a motivated Management Accountant.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will ensure the timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts, supporting the business with sound financial insight as drive growth. The work is varied, professional, and offers genuine scope to broaden your experience.

Production of holding company management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow, along with consolidated reporting.

Review and reconciliation of intercompany transactions, ensuring all related-party positions are correctly aligned.

Maintenance and development of balance sheet control accounts, including

Month-end journals, Prepayments and accruals and stock

Delivery of ad hoc analysis, reporting and project-based tasks as required

Liaison with external auditors

Preparation of VAT and other tax returns.

The ideal candidate will bring 3 – 5 years of solid accountancy experience, ideally supported by exposure to the commercial sector and familiarity with Power BI.

Confidence in handling EU VAT and multi-currency transactions is important, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capability, excellent data management skills and advanced Excel knowledge.

You will show initiative and take ownership and follow tasks through to completion, communicating clearly and effectively across the organisation while supporting a broad range of stakeholders. Flexibility and resilience are essential in the fast-evolving environment, and while CIMA, ACCA or ACA part-qualification is desirable, it is not essential
