Cyngor Caerdydd/Cardiff Council is recruiting for a Managed Accommodation Officer to join our newly formed service. The post holder will manage housing operations, ensure safety and maintenance compliance, and provide brief interventions to support residents.
The role works across multiple locations in Cardiff and is subject to an on-call rota outside normal office hours, with a temporary contract until 31 July 2027. Applications are welcomed in English and Welsh.
The Managed Accommodation Service forms part of the Specialist Housing Section and provides High quality, long term affordable accommodation to those that have faced or experienced homelessness. Through multiple locations across Cardiff, site management deliver the following provisions:
The service is a new way of meeting the needs of those who require accommodation, creating an exciting opportunity for individuals to join the team as the service develops and grows in the future.
We are recruiting for a Managed Accommodation Officer to work within our newly formed Managed Accommodation Service.
The post holder will be responsible for:
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability and desire to work with people who have experienced Homelessness and have a sound understanding of delivering Support Services within a Multi-disciplinary context.
You will be a driven person, showing a commitment to the service with the ability to foster positive relationships with both internal and partner organisations.
You will be able to show that you are dynamic, motivated and creative Behaviours and an understanding of the issues faced by homeless individuals will be an advantage.
The post holder will be able to remain calm under pressure expected to maintain and develop their knowledge regarding legislation and introduce new initiatives and procedures to drive forward standards across the service.
This post is temporary until 31/07/2027.

This role will form part of on call rota, outside of normal office hours.
A full and valid driving licence and access to own vehicle is an essential requirement of this role.
