Job summary

Cardiff Council’s Young People’s Supported Accommodation Service provides safe and supportive housing for young people aged 16–21 who are experiencing homelessness. As a Night Supported Accommodation Officer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support and oversight during out-of-hours periods.

The role helps maintain safety, wellbeing and stability of the young people and the accommodation overnight, across city locations, with emphasis on empowerment and positive futures.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with customers and delivering high-quality services.
• Ability to build positive professional relationships.
• Experience with individuals presenting complex behaviours and homelessness youth issues is advantageous.
• Strong communication, administrative and IT skills; ability to manage disputes constructively.
• Community language spoken would be an advantage.

Our Young People’s Supported Accommodation Service provides safe and supportive housing for young people aged 16–21 who are experiencing homelessness.

As a Night Supported Accommodation Officer, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality support and oversight during out‑of‑hours periods. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the safety, wellbeing, and stability of both the young people and the accommodation environment overnight.

The ability to speak a community language would be an advantage.
