Job summary

Select Engineering, a global Tier 1 supplier, is seeking maintenance staff to support new automation projects. You will respond to production equipment breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and support weekend project activities to keep lines running smoothly.

The role requires qualifications in engineering (HNC/HND) and experience with electrical and mechanical production equipment, LOTO, and PLC systems (Siemens S7 or Allen-Bradley). Weekend shifts: Sat, Sun and Mon 06:00–18:00.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in engineering required.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical production equipment.
• LOTO competence and electrical safety awareness.
• Knowledge of Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley PLC preferred.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations advantageous.
• IOSH Managing Safely advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Respond to production equipment breakdowns and resolve them.
• Complete maintenance tasks including PMs, stock ordering, audits, investigations and fault reports.
• Maintain End of Shift 5S standards and end-of-shift clean down.
• Identify breakdown or PM report trends and take necessary actions.
• Engage in root cause analysis of repeat/major breakdowns.
• Complete weekend work list.
• Manage electrical and mechanical installation of new machinery.
• Support Electrical Duty Holder with system management and compliance.

Job description

A global Tier 1 supplier is seeking additional maintenance staff to support new automation projects. The role will be responsible for responding to Production equipment breakdowns (if applicable), completing Weekend project activities and preparing and executing activities for Preventive Maintenance including:

• Ensure all Production breakdowns are supported and resolved.
• Complete all Maintenance tasks including PM's / stock ordering / Audits / investigations / fault reports.
• Ensure End of Shift 5S Standards are maintained in the Workshop and End of Shift clean down is completed.
• Identify any breakdown trends or PM report trends and complete any necessary actions.
• Engage in root cause analysis of repeat/major breakdowns.
• Complete Weekend work list.
• Manage electrical and mechanical installation of new machinery.
• Support the Electrical Duty Holder with system management and compliance.

Candidates should be qualified to HNC/HND level in a relevant engineering discipline and proven experience in a similar role including:

• Electrical and Mechanical production equipment
• Competence in LOTO
• Siemens S7 and/or Allen Bradley PLC experience is preferred
• 18th Edition Wiring regulations certification is advantageous
• IOSH Managing Safely

The weekend shift covers Sat, Sun and Mon - (06:00 - 18:00)
