Hernshead Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a leading UK manufacturing site. The role covers planned preventive maintenance, reactive breakdowns, fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems, and involvement in CI activities.
You will install and commission new plant equipment and support shutdown maintenance, working in a three-shift pattern with overtime. Strong fault-finding and reading engineering drawings are essential.

You will work across planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns, carrying out electrical and mechanical fault finding to minimise downtime and improve machine availability. You will also support continuous improvement initiatives and the installation and commissioning of new plant equipment.
The role operates on a three-shift rotating pattern, Monday to Friday: 6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm and 10pm–6am, rotating weekly. A minimum of one weekend in every six is also required, paid at the applicable overtime rate.
