Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset is seeking a maintenance technician for the Estates department at Royal Bournemouth Hospital. You will install, repair and maintain buildings, grounds and engineering services across the Trust, including testing and fault finding on complex plant.

The role involves shift work with an on-call rota and potential overtime, plus relocation assistance. A mechanical/building services qualification and full UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• HNC in building services or equivalent via apprenticeship with CPD
• Experience with mechanical or plumbing systems in NHS premises
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and install buildings, grounds and engineering services
• Fault find, test and repair a wide range of complex equipment
• Work unassisted in varied, technical environments
• Comply with health and safety and environmental regulations
• Work a shift pattern and participate in on-call rota
