Job summary

Royal Bournemouth Hospital is recruiting a General Maintenance Assistant – Electrical (Shift Working) to join the Estates department. You will help operate and maintain hospital electrical systems, perform day-to-day repairs, and provide first-line response to faults on lighting, fire alarms, nurse call, and related equipment.

The role requires a practical understanding of modern electrical maintenance, with a willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in general electrical maintenance, both reactive and planned.
• Knowledge of lighting, fire alarms, nurse call systems and associated electrical equipment.
• Complies with current safety regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day repairs and be responsible for the operation of the Trust's electrical equipment and systems.
• Provide first-line response to faults and outages, ensuring safe and reliable service.
• Undertake planned maintenance and minor electrical works as part of a team.
