Qualifications

• Recognised electrical or mechanical technician qualification.
• Experience on estates plant and systems.
• Ability to escalate issues to management.
• Knowledge of specifications, drawings and manuals.
• Willingness to travel across Trust sites in own/trust vehicle.
• Strong organisation to prioritise under pressure.
• Commitment to health and safety and high-quality workmanship.
• Team player with focus on improvement and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Operate on a day shift; actively respond to breakdowns and job requests.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and fault-finding on generators, fire alarms, lighting and power, distribution boards, boilers, AHUs, chiller plant, medical gas systems, calorifiers and hot & cold-water networks.
• Undertake maintenance, improvements and minor capital works across all Trust facilities.
• Evaluate and respond to emergency situations, prioritising safety for patients, staff and the public.
• Conduct and document risk assessments for medium and high-risk tasks.
• Ensure compliance with Trust policies, statutory standards and health & safety legislation.
