Rapier Employment seeks a Maintenance Technician for a permanent, full-time night shift in Coleshill, near Birmingham. You will own mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems, perform preventative maintenance, fix breakdowns quickly and optimise depot facilities and automation.

Two shift patterns exist: 22:00–06:00 Mon-Thu with Fri finish at 03:00, or an alternative schedule. This is ideal for a qualified, multi-skilled engineer seeking a night role.

Qualifications

• Minimum recognised Level 3 electrical and mechanical qualification.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a maintenance role.
• Experience with automated conveyor systems and fault finding across electrical, mechanical and pneumatic areas.
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems at the depot.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and swift breakdown resolution.

You will take ownership of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems at the depot, performing planned preventative maintenance, resolving breakdowns swiftly, and completing defect repairs. Two shift patterns are available: Monday to Thursday 22:00-06:00 with a Friday finish at 03:00, or an alternative schedule. Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician Wanted ! Permanent - Night shift. Hams Hall, Coleshill, Birmingham, B46

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Maintenance Technician to join our Clients night team at the Birmingham Depot. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of maintaining and enhancing our mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Your responsibilities will encompass Planned Preventative Maintenance, swift resolution of system breakdowns, defect repairs, and the overall upkeep and optimisation of our depot facilities and automation systems. This is a permanent position via Rapier Employment.

Shift Details: Salary: £48,000-£50,000 (depending on experience) Two different shift patterns available: Option 1: Monday-Thursday 22:00-06:00 then 19:00-03:00 on a Friday Option 2: Monday-Thursday 20:00-06:00

Job Responsibilities

• Maintenance of volume picking machinery through scheduled maintenance.
• Engage and manage external contractors.
• Immediate response to any breakdowns with the production equipment in accordance with the production hours.
• Assisting and manage the delivery of Supply Chain technical projects.
• In this role you will be required to stand and walk for most of your shift, as well as needing to be able to lift (up to 15kg), bend, twist, kneel, and crouch.

Key skills, knowledge, and experience

• Minimum recognised Level 3 electrical and mechanical qualification.
• Minimum 3 years Experience working within a maintenance department.
• Experience working with automated conveyor systems.
• Experience fault finding within a an electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Desirable qualifications: IOSH or NEBOSH.
• Desirable knowledge: Management of a technical team.
• Live Local to Coleshill or have own vehicle.
