Job summary

Roseberry Care Centres in Sheffield is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Operative to join our care home team at Norbury Court. You’ll perform general repairs, routine maintenance, and ensure health and safety compliance on site.

Hours are 37.5 per week, Mon-Fri 8am-4pm, with occasional weekend call-outs. The role offers a supportive environment, career progression across 25 homes, and benefits such as mental health support and recognition schemes.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (desirable).
• Proven experience in a maintenance/handyman role.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems and general building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs and routine maintenance to ensure the home runs smoothly.
• Respond promptly to faults and emergency maintenance.
• Support external contractors on site and keep maintenance records up to date.
