Job summary

Roseberry Care Centres in Sheffield is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Operative to join our care home team at Norbury Court. You’ll perform general repairs, routine maintenance, and ensure health and safety compliance on site.

Hours are 37.5 per week, Mon-Fri 8am-4pm, with occasional weekend call-outs. The role offers a supportive environment, career progression across 25 homes, and benefits such as mental health support and recognition schemes.

Salary: £12.80 Per Hour

Hours: 37.5/week Mon-Fri 8am- 4pm (may be required on a weekend call out in emergencies but this is not often)

Your Role:

As a Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for general repairs, routine maintenance, and ensuring the home is compliant with health and safety regulations. Your role is essential in ensuring the home runs smoothly and safely on a day-to-day basis. .

You’ll be responsible for:

• Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, plastering).
• Respond promptly to reported faults or emergency maintenance requests.
• Perform general handyman duties, including assembling furniture, moving equipment, and minor groundskeeping.
• Support external contractors when on site.
• Keep maintenance records and reports up to date.

What We’re Looking For:
