Job summary

Rosebank House in Reading is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Assistant to keep the site safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents and staff. The role covers general maintenance, DIY, safety checks, and coordinating contractors.

You'll work 25 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday 9:00am-2:00pm with flexibility. A fully paid one-week induction is provided and you'll join a supportive team at Elysium Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Have proven experience within a maintenance role, preferably with some supervisory or lead responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Being the main responsible person for all maintenance aspects of Rosebank House, ensuring that the buildings, facilities, and equipment are maintained and fit for purpose.
• Utilising strong DIY and practical skills to ensure the safety and comfort of residents is maintained.
• Planning, conducting, and documenting regular safety checks, audits, and maintenance schedules.
• Leading on the repair, maintenance, and decorating of all buildings within Rosebank House.
• Liaising with and reporting directly to the Manager on all faults, defects, and maintenance plans.
• Coordinating, supervising, and supporting all contractors whilst on site, completing all necessary paperwork and tool checks.
