St Philip's Care is seeking a Maintenance Operative at Roxholm Hall Care Centre to help maintain the fabric, services and grounds in a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment.

You will carry out general maintenance, keep the home in good decorative order, supervise external contractors, monitor energy use, and maintain health and safety records, with a flexible approach to work and strong DIY skills to ensure continuous smooth operation.

Qualifications

• Flexible approach to work.
• Ability to prioritise workload.
• High standard of DIY including internal and external decoration.
• Ability to communicate effectively with outside agencies
• Understanding of heating systems
• Basic understanding of electrical appliances
• Ability to maintain accurate inspection records.

Responsibilities

• To carry out general maintenance as required throughout the home.
• To ensure the home is in good decorative order at all times.
• To ensure all external areas and grounds are kept tidy and well maintained to ensure the smart appearance of the home.
• To supervise outside contractors
• To minimize costs by monitoring energy consumption and maintaining written records.
• To upkeep all health and safety records and the periodic testing of appliances and functional items within the home.
• Expectation for post holder to responds to emergency situations within the home
