Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a Maintenance Planner to develop, structure and implement comprehensive equipment documentation and preventive maintenance programs. The role acts as a bridge between suppliers, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure a smooth transition of equipment into service.

The successful candidate will draft maintenance procedures, BOMs, and inspection checklists, while coordinating with procurement and operations for optimal spare parts and transfer of knowledge.

Qualifications

• DEP or DEC required in related field.
• 5–8 years of heavy equipment maintenance experience.
• Experience with CMMS systems (SAP PM, Maximo, Guide Ti, FSM).
• Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and spare parts management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain equipment technical documentation.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and maintenance procedures.
• Create equipment inspection, maintenance, and transfer checklists.
• Develop equipment bills of materials (BOMs), identify critical spare parts, and recommend inventory levels.
• Collaborate with the Procurement team to support supplier and parts sourcing.
• Support equipment commissioning and ensure compliance with internal standards.
• Participate in the acceptance of new equipment and coordinate the transfer of information to operations teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance and asset management.
